Body found in river Wednesday identified as Wis. teen

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said Friday that officials have identified the body that was recovered from the Mississippi River on Wednesday as that of 16-year-old Erika Renee Borgstrom of Roberts, Wis., WCCO reported.

Investigators believe she had jumped into the Mississippi River from the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis with Dakotah Coach, 18, believed to be her boyfriend, in the early-morning hours of May 14.

Borgstrom's body was found in a backwater area between the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers near the Mendota Bridge, the Pioneer Press reported.
