Authorities recovered the body of a 3-year-old girl from a pool at a Brooklyn Park apartment complex overnight, reports note.

Her body was found in the deep end of a murky pool at the Windsor Gates apartments, located on 78th and Zane avenues, KSTP reports.

The girl, who FOX 9 identified as Corianna Wright, was reported missing around 10 p.m. Sunday, WCCO says. The family said she had been missing since 8:30 p.m. when a group of children, ages 7-15, returned without her.

During the search for the girl, police handed out photos of her to area businesses in an effort to find her, KARE 11 notes.

Police said the pool was visually checked several times before the girl was found in the 9-foot deep end around 1 a.m. Monday, KSTP notes. The water in the pool was cloudy, so it prevented searchers from seeing to the bottom.

Police aren't sure how she got into the locked pool area, WCCO adds. Brooklyn Park police are investigating.

FOX 9 says the girl did not live at the apartment complex, which has two indoor pools and one outdoor pool, the website notes.
