Body of missing pregnant woman found in Chippewa National Forest

Kara Blevins, the pregnant mom-of-two who had been missing in northern Minnesota since the start of February, has been found dead.

The 27 year old of Akeley, Minnesota was found in a wooded area in the Chippewa National Forest in Shingobee Township on Saturday evening, the Cass County Sheriff's Office confirmed.

She had not been seen since Feb. 2, when she left her mother's house on Howard Lake Road, Akeley, and was reported missing three days later.

The sheriff's office said her body was found following extensive ground and air searches of the area, with multiple agencies involved.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.

The 27 year old left with no phone, no car, no money and just the clothes she was wearing the night of Feb. 2. She was also six months pregnant, with her third child due in May.
