FOX 9 reports authorities confirmed that they recovered the body of Danielle Jelinek, the Oakdale woman missing since Dec. 9.

Jelinek's body was found in a swampy area about 200 hundred yards from the Chisago County home of her on-again, off-again boyfriend Aaron Schnagl, considered a person of interest in the case.

KARE 11 reports the body was found near the intersection of Kodiak Avenue and 261st Street, in South Chisago Lake Township.

The Chisago County medical examiner's office officially determined the body was Jelinek's late Friday night.

Jelinek, who was 27 when she disappeared, has been the subject of intensive searches since she was last seen six months ago.

Jelinek was last seen with Schnagl that night in December. Jelinek’s purse, shoes and cell phone were found on Schnagl’s property, along with marijuana and cocaine.

He has not been charged in her disappearance and had adamantly maintained he had nothing to do with it, the Star Tribune reported.

He was sentenced to 78 months in prison in February after pleading guilty to a charge of second-degree cocaine possession.

Jelinek grew up in Cottage Grove and graduated from Park High School. She lived in Oakdale with her sister and nephew.
