A Brainerd High School senior's prom dress is all over the map -- quite literally.

The Brainerd Dispatch reports that Rin Heise and her mother, Lois Fischer, made Heise's dress out of 1978 National Geographic maps.

And for good measure, the duo pasted pages from the famous Dr. Seuss book "Oh, the Places You'll Go" on the back of the map pieces to create an extra strengthening layer.

Both mother and daughter said they love traveling, and France, Germany, India and China are on their list of future trips.

Heise, who will attend Brainerd's prom Saturday night, calls the dress her "last hurrah."

The teen told the Dispatch that she was hoping to top her gown from last year -- a peacock feather, flowing gown which she said stole the show.
