Schneider was critically wounded while responding to a domestic disturbance at a Lake City home Monday morning. Police, SWAT team members and other authorities surrounded the home through the day. The nine-year Lake City police veteran shot Monday morning remains hospitalized. A spokesperson with St. Marys Hospital in Rochester says Shawn Schneider remains in critical condition on Saturday. He was responding to a domestic dispute with another officer when he was shot in the head.
