Christopher & Banks hires new CEO

Christopher & Banks has named veteran retail executive LuAnn Via to be its new president and chief executive officer, the Pioneer Press reports. Via was most recently the CEO of Payless Shoes. She will start her new role with the women's apparel company on Nov. 26. Via replaces Joel Waller, who took over when Larry Barenbaum left the struggling Plymouth-based retailer in February.

Skybridge Americas hires ex-Twins executive as new CEO

Kevin Cattoor is joining Skybridge Americas, a contact and product fulfillment center based in Greenfield, Minn., as chief executive officer. He replaces long-time CEO Joe Thomas. The Business Journal reports Cattoor was chief operating officer for the Twins from 2001 to 2004 and was an executive at Midwest Sports Channel -- now Fox Sports North -- from 1984 to 2000.

Regis Corp. hires new president and CEO

The struggling Edina-based hair care giant has chosen Royal Caribbean Cruises executive Daniel Hanrahan as its new chief executive officer. Hanrahan will join Regis Corporation on August 6. Most recently, he was president and CEO of the Celebrity Cruise brand. Interim COO Eric Bakken was tapped to serve as interim CEO of Regis earlier this month.

Caribou Coffee hires new executive

The Brooklyn Center-based coffee retail chain has named Leigh Anne Snider as senior vice president of retail operations. She joins Caribou Coffee from YUM! Brands, where she was the first woman promoted to a chief operating officer position with the Kentucky-based company.

Best Buy hires Carlson chief Joly as new CEO

Hubert Joly, the French-born businessman who was the first non-family member to run the Carlson Companies, is leaving to take the top job at Best Buy Co. During emergency meetings over the weekend, Carlson's board selected chief financial officer Trudy Rautio, a 15-year Carlson executive, to be the company's next president and chief executive officer.

St. Paul's Western Bank acquired by Omaha company

Family-owned Western Bank was sold to a Nebraska holding company, according to the Pioneer Press. Western Bank President and CEO Tony Lemaire, "It's business as usual, except with more products, technology and capacity to provide our customers an even better banking experience."
