Building, fields damaged as tornado touches down near St. James
A building and several fields were damaged after a tornado reportedly touched down in southern Minnesota Friday evening.
The Watonwan County Sheriff's Office told WCCO that a building owned by Civil Age Group in Long Lake Township had "sustained extensive damage, while several corn and soybean fields in the area were destroyed.

Last weekend, a 105mph, F-1 tornado that touched down in Carver County, west of the metro area, caused huge damage, flattening buildings and bringing trees and power lines down.
The National Weather Service says that the hot and humid weather in the Twin Cities this weekend is likely to lead to thunderstorms in the coming days, with forecasts saying storms may hit on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
