Cafe offers discounted meals for those packing heat

A diner in southern Minnesota is supporting permit to carry holders by offering a discounted meal each week.

Steve Nagel, owner of Langtry Cafe in Brownsdale, says every Thursday is "Conceal and Carry Day," KAAL reports.

The restaurant offers 15 percent off for those carrying a concealed gun, while carrying a firearm in the open receives a 25 percent discount.

The restaurant also hosts permit to carry classes, which are already sold out next month.

The gun control debate continues at the state Capitol. The House's gun control bill that focuses on expanding background checks to sales at gun shows is making its way through the Legislature. The measure would cost the state nearly $1.1 million.
