Bon Iver is canceling its European tour, and frontman Justin Vernon is pulling out of his upcoming Prairie Home Companion guest spot.

The Wisconsin-based Indie band said Tuesday "personal reasons" is what forced the decision. The band didn't go into any more detail, but did say the cancellations came with "great regret."

Vernon was set to appear on the Jan. 14 Prairie Home Companion at the Chicago Symphony Center. The Minnesota Public Radio production is in its first year with new host Chris Thile, known for his bands Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek.

Bon Iver's tour meanwhile was supposed to start in Paris on Jan. 22.

The band is slated to perform at Rock the Garden in Minneapolis this summer, and also play Coachella.
