The Brooklyn Center-based coffee chain plans to open locations in at least a half-a-dozen Jewel-Osco stores in the Chicago area, the Pioneer Press reports.

"This is a significant partnership for Caribou, as it allows us to expand our distribution in one of our key markets and accelerate Caribou's growth among diverse business units in partnership with Chicago's market-leading grocery chain," Caribou CEO Mike Tattersfield said in a news release.

Caribou also plans to introduce its premium packaged coffee throughout the Supervalu-owned grocery chain, the Business Journal reports.
