Carlo's Bakery – yes from Cake Boss – is opening at Mall of America

It's the first Carlo's Bakery in the Midwest.

The bakery behind the hit TLC show Cake Boss is coming to Mall of America this summer.

Carlo's Bakery – made famous by "Buddy" Valastro and his fancy cakes – will serve freshly prepared foods, and people will be able to pre-order cakes and goodies for pick up as well, an email news release says.

The bakery will open on level three near Shake Shack at the mall sometime this summer. This marks the first Carlo's Bakery location in the Midwest, and the eighth state in the U.S. to get a Carlo's Bakery.

“We’re thrilled to give our guests a taste of Buddy’s larger-than-life personality through his custom creations at Carlo’s Bakery,” Carrie Charleston, of Mall of America, said in a statement. “We continue to look for ways to introduce iconic, beloved brands like Carlo’s Bakery to our guests at Mall of America.”

Mall of America will be celebrating its 25th birthday in August.
