Cash for plunkers: St. Louis Park offers $500 for rock-throwing suspects

It ain't exactly CSI: Miami, but the St. Louis Park police are serious enough about catching suspects who threw large rocks at moving cars earlier this week that they have offered a $500 reward.

WCCO-TV reports that any info leading to an arrest could be worth the reward.

Two incidents happened Monday night between 10 and 11:30. Then there were another five reports of rocks thrown through passing car windows between 3 and 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday.

They were all along Excelsior Boulevard between Blake Road and Louisiana. One motorist was driving westbound around 10 p.m. Tuesday when a large rock came flying and shattered his rear passenger window, KARE 11 reported earlier.

The St. Louis Park Patch says the rocks had diameters of up to two-and-a-half inches.
