Chatfield Footloose fan performs rap with Hollywood movie cast

A Chatfield community actor caught the attention of the man who directed the current remake of the movie, Footloose. Emily Whitcomb recorded herself performing her own Footloose Rap she wrote after getting cast in the stage version of the story in Chatfield. Whitcomb ended up performing it at a Minneapolis promotional event with movie cast members Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald in addition to director Craig Brewer.

Contest coming to Minneapolis gives filmmakers 48 hours to make movies

A unique movie contest is coming to the Twin Cities. The 48 Hour Film Project will give filmmakers two days to write, cast, film and edit a movie. To start, the registered teams will each be given a movie genre, character, prop and line of dialogue at the Riverview Theater in Minneapolis on June 8. The final products will screen at the venue June 12-14.
