Cats rule! Winter Carnival cat show is purr-fect
Cat lovers converged on downtown St. Paul this weekend for the annual Saintly City Cat Show, which features cats of many breeds and types competing for ribbons and other honors.
Hundreds of people come to the show each year to check out the cats in the show, and talk about their pets, according to the Star Tribune.
Photos of some of the top contenders are here.
The show, which was held at RiverCentre, is part of the St. Paul Winter Carnival. This is its 39th year.
One of the highlights of the show came Sunday afternoon, when judges choose two cats as the "King" and "Queen" – but they're picked from the household pet category. The winners are then dolled up with fancy capes and crowns.
