Update: Third gas station clerk charged for selling cigarettes to girl for oral sex

The county attorney says his office will crack down on sex trafficking incidents like this.

Update: Friday, 12:30 p.m.

A third gas station clerk wanted in connection with selling cigarettes to a 14-year-old girl in exchange for oral sex has been arrested and charged.

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office confirmed Friday that Erwin Kruk has been arrested and charged with 3rd and 4th degree criminal sexual conduct and prostitution of a 13 to 15 year old.

Kruk, 26, of Eden Prairie, allegedly received oral sex from the 14-year-old victim at the urging of his fellow gas station employee, Deandre Boyd.

Kruk, Boyd and a third man, Jammie Lee, have all now been charged in connection with the case.

Two of the witnesses in the case were the victim's friends. The third witness was a gas station employee who confirmed the three girls would visit the gas station and once saw Boyd fondling the victim.

(UPDATE: Erwin Kruk was arrested Thursday evening and charged in this case.)

The original story from Thursday, Apr. 13 is below.

Two convenience store workers who sold cigarettes to a 14-year-old girl in exchange for sex have been charged with prostitution and sexual assault.

Deandre Boyd, 21, of St. Louis Park, and Jammie Lee, 44, of Minnetonka, were working as clerks at a Freedom Gas Station on Shady Oak Road in Minnetonka when the assaults happened, according to the Hennepin County Attorney's Office.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said his office will be using extra funding from the county board to crack down on sex trafficking, which he says "ranges from organized rings to the kind of activities we have charged here."

According to the criminal complaint:

Boyd was working at the gas station in December when the girl came in to buy cigarettes. He noted she was underage but said he'd sell them to her if she exposed her breasts. She did so and he fondled her after taking her to a back hallway where there were no cameras.

The next time she returned, he demanded she perform oral sex on him in the women's bathroom to get the cigarettes.

On her third visit to the store while Boyd was working, he encouraged the girl to perform oral sex on a co-worker (who is being sought in connection with the case).

The girl returned another time when Lee was working, and he expressed an interest in her. She agreed to oral sex with him in exchange for cigarettes and soft drinks.

Neither man works for the gas station anymore.

Police interviewed the girl in February at CornerHouse, a child abuse evaluation center, after a report of sexual exploitation of a child was made to Hennepin County Child Protection.

Boyd has been charged with 3rd and 4th degree criminal sexual conduct, promoting prostitution, and prostitution of a 13 to 15 year old. Lee has been charged with 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct and prostitution of a 13 to 15 year old.

Boyd appeared in court on Thursday and Lee will appear on Friday.
