The Sculpture Garden at the Walker Art Center is gearing up for a big blue chicken. But before the massive bird can settle in, it needs a place to land.

And that's exactly what it got this week.

The Walker Art Center posted a picture to Instagram of a giant stainless-steel pedestal for the bird – because a giant bird deserves more than a nest. The pedestal weights 15 tons and is now in place.

Now we just have to wait for the star of the show.

The 20-foot-tall blue rooster, called Hahn/Cock, was created by German artist Katharina Fritsch, and will arrive later this month.

The Sculpture Garden will be open to the public again June 3, showing off its revamped space and new art installations after two years of work.

The blue rooster is just one of 16 new pieces that'll debut next month.

You can learn more about the new additions here.
