Update: Young boy killed waiting for school bus

A 7-year-old boy was hit by a car outside of his grandparents home in Wright County Friday morning. The 47-year-old driver was also killed in the crash. His wife told the Star Tribune he was driving home after working his overnight shift. Investigators have yet to determine whether the driver had any medical problems.

A bus driver was injured in Maplewood when a vehicle rear-ended the bus at County Road C and English Avenue. A Duluth school bus driver is hospitalized in critical condition after the vehicle filled with kids plowed through yards, uprooted trees and narrowly missed two homes. None of the 27 elementary school student on board was seriously injured. Emergency responders found the driver outside the bus having difficulty breathing.

School bus critically injures pedestrian in St. Paul

A pedestrian was sent to the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a school bus in St. Paul. The man in his 50s or 60s was struck while the bus was taking a left-hand turn from Western Ave. onto Aurora Ave. He was transported to Regions Hospital and is expected to survive.
