The wife of fallen Twin Cities businessman Denny Hecker breaks her silence in an interview with WCCO-TV. Christi Rowan-Hecker explained the nature of her marriage to Hecker, who is currently housed at a low-security federal prison in Loretto, Penn. -- his sixth prison since being sentenced to 10 years for fraud.
Hecker is at a federal transfer center in Oklahoma City, before being moved to a low-security prison near Pittsburgh. The convicted Twin Cities auto mogul was initially held in Duluth before being transferred to Wisconsin in February. Most recently, Hecker was serving his 10-year sentence at a medium security prison in Terre Haute, Indiana.
And "if that happens," a longtime friend tells the Star Tribune, "[Denny] is history." The Pioneer Press reported earlier that Hecker has been segregated from the general population at the Duluth Federal Prison Camp and banned from social activities including work and recreation.
