Gophers head coach Jerry Kill remains hospitalized but is expected to be on the sidelines when Minnesota hosts Miami (Ohio) on Saturday. Defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys said Kill is feeling better and ready to get back to football.

There’s no timeline for Gopher football coach Jerry Kill’s return. He checked into the Mayo Clinic to try and find the cause of continuing seizures. He coached from the sidelines during Saturday’s loss to North Dakota State, but suffered another seizure at home on Sunday.

Gophers head coach Jerry Kill was released from the hospital on Thursday, five days after suffering a seizure during Minnesota’s home opener against New Mexico State. Kill was at practice Thursday and stayed the entire two hours. He will be coaching on Saturday against Miami (Ohio), but it might be from the press-box.

Jerry Kill will most likely be roaming the sidelines, at least be coaching from the press box during Saturday's game against Miami (Ohio). Gophers defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys said he would be "shocked" if Kill didn't coach on Saturday.

Kill tells WCCO he's fine and did not want to comment any further about the incident. The Gophers coach has suffered multiple seizures and been hospitalized twice this season.
