Conservative website names Bachmann 'Woman of the Year'
U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann not only won re-election to the House of Representatives this year -- she's being hailed as a "rock star" by a popular conservative political news website.
World Net Daily announced Thursday that Bachmann has been named their "Woman of the Year."
Not only was Bachmann honored for her "extraordinary dedication to America’s founding principles and steadfast defense of the Constitution," she was noted by the site as a "gutsy, pro-life fiscal conservative who dared to vote against raising the debt ceiling.
Bachmann was also called a "God-fearing, gun-loving advocate of tax cuts and domestic oil drilling" and "one of Obamacare's worst nightmares."
The 6th District Republican was re-elected to Congress in November after narrowly defeating Democratic challenger Jim Graves.
Bachmann's year began on a low note when she abandoned her run for the GOP nomination for president in January.
