He's got a fresh new single, a second album in the works – and now a date at the Minnesota State Fair.
Sam Hunt is coming to the Grandstand for a show on Monday, Sept. 4, the fair announced Thursday morning.
The 32-year-old, who wrote for some of the big country names like Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney, broke onto the scene with his 2014 album Montevallo, which debuted at the top of the country chart.
He's now working on a second album, though with a release date TBD. Earlier this month he released his first single from it, called "Body Like a Back Road."
Tickets for his State Fair concert will be on sale May 5 at 10 a.m. Here's the link. They'll go for $55 or $65.

Other acts already announced for the Grandstand series include Nickelback, Pentatonix, Jim Gaffigan, Toby Keith, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons and John Mellencamp. The Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 24 through Labor Day, Sept. 4.
