Not content with Dinkytown, the owners of The Pourhouse have set their sights on Uptown as the next Minneapolis neighborhood to conquer.

Having recently announced the plans for its second location in the former Library Bar near the U of M, the team behind The Pourhouse brand has secured a prominent home for its third Minneapolis location, WCCO's Jason DeRusha reports.

Making way is Coup D'etat, the Jester Concepts-owned American food and cocktails venue that opened in January 2014 as one of the biggest bar/restaurants in Uptown.

The restaurant's last day at 2923 Girard Ave. S. will be October 1, with Pourhouse owners Empire Entertainment hoping the new venue will be open by the end of the year.

In a statement sent to the Business Journals, Jester Concepts said it will be offering Coup D'etat staff the opportunity to transfer to one of its other restaurants.

The company operates five more well-known Twin Cities eateries, including Borough, Parlour, Monello, Constantine and Mercado.

The Coup D'etat space will be remodeled as it makes way for the Pourhouse, which has styled itself in its Prohibition-style downtown bar/nightclub as "the best party in town."

Its Dinkytown location is expected to open sometime this fall.
