A dusting of snow in the Twin Cities metro Monday morning was enough to clog traffic and cause plenty of delays. The Minnesota State Patrol reported at least 50 incidents. No serious injuries or deaths were reported.

Four NDSU students from Twin Cities killed in crash near Alexandria

Four young women from the metro area were killed on I-94 while driving in heavy snowfall near Alexandria on Monday. The State Patrol identified them as Lauren Peterson, 18, of Prior Lake, Jordan Playle, 19, of Elk River, Megan Sample, 18, of Rogers and Danielle Renninger, 18, of Excelsior. The four freshman were reportedly traveling from the Twin Cities back to school.

7-car crash closes I-494, taxi driver killed

The 5 a.m. crash on westbound I-494, just west of France Avenue, closed to westbound traffic through the morning rush, Fox 9 reports. In addition to the death of the cab driver, at least one other person was injured.
