Crews battle condo blaze in Uptown

Minneapolis firefighters were battling a three-story building blaze Friday morning in Uptown.

WCCO said it was an eight-unit condo. Firefighters raced to the scene at West Lake Street and Irving Avenue at about 8:30 a.m., reporters said.

One person suffered injuries from smoke inhalation but the rest of the occupants of the building were evacuated and were reportedly safe, KARE 11 reported.

Bruegger's Bagels and Dunn Brothers Coffee were evacuated as a precaution, the Pioneer Press reported.
