Crowd gathers for reopening of Lowry Avenue bridge
More than 350 people gathered in the metro Saturday for the reopening of the Lowry Avenue bridge, which connects north and northeast Minneapolis, the Star Tribune reported.
The unveiling of the $104 million project was marked with parade, jet flyover and water ski show. U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar was among the man officials on hand to mark the occasion.

The bridge officially opened to cars Saturday evening. About 16,000 cars are expected to cross the bridge per day.
