Stratosphere fair ride shut down yet again

30 female cyclists pedal length of Mississippi River

The women are in Minnesota, near the end of a 39-day, 2,000-mile trek up the Mississippi River from New Orleans, organized by a company called WomanTours. The women say they have grown stronger together -- and been awed by the fast-changing countryside as they pedal north. “It’s like a traveling sorority,” one said.

Free rides on New Year's Eve

Minnesotans looking for safe travel on New Year's Eve can ride Metro Transit for free starting at 6 p.m. The free rides are for any bus route and will run through the all scheduled stops.
