The Thief River Falls company is recalling the vehicles because of an issue that can cause the driver to lose steering control. WDAZ says there have been four reports of malfunctions but no injuries. The recall includes the F, XF and M models sold between May 2011 and December 2011.

Investigators say the fire at Sartell's Verso paper mill was caused by an overheated compressor. There was a severe loss of pressure in the water that normally cooled the equipment. The subsequent explosion and fire killed one worker and damaged the plant, which the company recently announced will not reopen.

A fire broke out early Sunday morning at the Buck Hill ski and snowboard area in Burnsville. KARE 11 reports flames were shooting through a temporary tent structure when firefighters arrived. The haunted house was under construction and scheduled to open early next month. No injuries were reported and the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

Laboratory Corporation of America has agreed to acquire Medtox Scientific, Inc. for $241 million. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter and still must be approved by shareholders. Medtox distributes illegal-substance tests to hospitals, companies and treatment centers.

A neighbor rushed to the aid of a family whose house exploded in Tracy over the weekend, charging into the burning home to save a baby. The mother and three daughters who lived there were badly injured. Neighbors said the woman told them she had lit a cigarette prior to the blast.
