Delta loan repayment will end job commitments in Minnesota

The company says roughly 160 employees in the Twin Cities will be offered the option to transfer. Delta is the dominant carrier in the Twin Cities after in acquired Northwest Airlines in 2008.

Minneapolis subsidiary of Delta to close

Minneapolis-based Regional Elite Airline Services, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, will close Nov. 13. The company says its work has been awarded to another contractor at the airport. About 4,000 employees are affected, many in the Twin Cities will take jobs with Delta Ground Services.

Comcast to add 150 local jobs

The cable company is adding 150 jobs in St. Paul, which is the second big hiring effort so far this year. In April, Comcast announced plans to hire 450 people for its Minnetonka facility. A company executive tells Twin Cities Business that many of those jobs are still open.
