Delta transferring 75 pilots based at MSP to other cities
Delta Air Lines plans to move about 75 of its 1,400 pilots based in the Twin Cities to other airports, including Detroit and Atlanta, the Pioneer Press reports.
The pilots affected all fly the Airbus A320 or the McDonnell-Douglas MD-88 aircraft.
"This type of move is not something that is frequent," A Delta spokeswoman told the newspaper "We do not foresee another one in the near future."
She also said the decision will not change the number of flights the Atlanta-based carrier offers in and out of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Delta is the dominant carrier in the Twin Cities.
