Despite historic season, Towns snubbed from All-NBA teams

KAT wasn't named first, second or third team All-NBA.

Karl-Anthony Towns was not named to any of the three All-NBA teams announced Thursday.

The omission comes as a bit of a surprise considering Towns became the first player in NBA history to score 2,000 points, grab 1,000 rebounds and knock down 100 threes in the same season.

DeMarcus Cousins was also snubbed, so really, the likes of Towns getting an All-NBA nod is a result of them being qualified as centers instead of power forwards, even though they often play both positions.

The three All-NBA centers were Anthony Davis, Rudy Gobert and DeAndre Jordan.
