Corey Day, executive director of the Minnesota DFL, was still being held in the Hennepin County Jail on Monday, accused of driving under the influence on Saturday, WCCO reports.

Day, 36, is suspected of hitting two parked cars in south Minneapolis, according to the police report. CityPages has an excerpt from the police report. CityPages noted that Day had not yet been charged Monday.

The Star Tribune reports that Day was charged with driving while under the influence in 2009, according to public records.

DFL Party chair Ken Martin said Day's arrest would not impact his work for the state party, the Star Tribune reports. Calls to Day's cell phone were not returned, the Star Tribune and CityPages reported.
