Dispute settled over memorial fund for Cold Spring officer
Relatives of Cold Spring police officer Tom Decker have settled a dispute over the memorial fund money that was raised after he died on the job in a shooting in November 2012.
The deal was reached Monday, but details were not publicly disclosed and lawyers did not return calls seeking comment, the Star Tribune reported.
A dispute arose among Decker's widow, his ex-wife and two brothers over the undisclosed amount of money that was donated to the family after Decker's death.
Decker, 31, a father of four, has been honored for his sacrifice. He was killed Nov. 29 as he responded to a call for police help.
A man identified as a person of interest in the case committed suicide in January, and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigation continues, the Star Tribune notes.
