A Vadnais Heights man says he can't thank enough a man who traveled from Tasmania, Australia, to donate him a kidney, KARE-TV reports.

Don Holmes, 64, received a kidney on Wednesday from Anthony Parr in an operation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Holmes was supposed to get a kidney from another donor last summer, but the procedure was canceled at the last minute after doctors discovered it wasn't a perfect match.

Luckily for Holmes, he found a perfect match with Parr two months ago on the website matchingdonors.com, KSTP-TV reports.

Although the Tasmania is often associated with the term "Tasmanian Devil," Holmes calls Parr his "Tasmanian Angel," KARE says.

See KARE 11's video about the kidney transplant below.
