Snicker bars are prompting a recall of some holiday themed candy.

Mars Chocolate North America issued an allergy alert voluntary recall for its Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes candies, which were sold in Minnesota and 34 other states between Sept. 19 and Dec. 1, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

ABC News says the 24-ounce bags of chocolate were sold exclusively at WalMart stores, however Mars did not disclose the retailer.

The company issued the recall because approximately 6,700 cases of the item may contain some Snickers, Milky Way and Twix pieces, which contain peanuts, wheat and egg ingredients that are not listed on the ingredient label.

The FDA says people who have allergies to these ingredients shouldn't eat it.

Mars issued the recall after a consumer told the company they found Snickers pieces in their bag of Dove Chocolate Assortment Snowflakes, the FDA notes.

No injuries or adverse reactions have been reported.

Consumers who purchased the recalled product can return it to where they bought it. For additional information on the product recalled click here, or call 1-800-551-0907.
