Downtown hairdresser groped customer's breasts, charges say
A hairdresser at a downtown Minneapolis salon groped a customer's breasts and told her it was fine because she is French.
Vincent Benjamin Sechi, 30, of Bloomington, has been charged with 5th degree criminal sexual conduct after the incident at a salon in Gaviidae Common in downtown Minneapolis.
A hair stylist at Juut Salon, Sechi is alleged to have started giving the victim a massage of her head and neck during an appointment on Feb. 27.
He then proceeded to touch the top of her breasts under the robe he'd instructed her to put on, according to the criminal complaint, telling her that "American women would not like that, but since [the victim] is French it was fine."
He then cut her hair, and as pieces of hair fell on the woman's chest, Sechi allegedly pushed them further down towards her breasts, reaching inside her bra "several times."
He also reached inside her robe, put his hand in her bra, cupped and squeezed her breast, before saying it was a "nice tip."
When interviewed by police, he admits he unbuttoned the victim's robe while giving her a massage and had put fingers inside her bra when sweeping hair off her chest.
He said he "definitely overstepped."
The Star Tribune spoke with a worker at the salon and was told Sechi no longer works there.
Juut's head office added it had terminated his employment after speaking with police and had apologized to the alleged victim.
