The 38-year-old man arrested after a fatal crash in Starbuck, Minn., had a blood alcohol content of .351, according to a criminal complaint. The crash critically injured Southwest Minnesota State basketball coach Brad Bigler and killed his 5-month-old son, WCCO reports.
Dana Schoen was not hurt. He is charged with three counts of criminal vehicular homicide or operation and aggravated drunken driving, and he remains held in the Douglas County jail, the Star Tribune reports.
SMSU players are optimistic about their coach's recovery, The Independent reports.
Only 13 months ago, Bigler lost his mother, Diane Bigler-Hagenow, in a kayaking accident during a family trip, USA Today reported.
