Duluth Police seek mom, 2 missing kids who may be headed for the Twin Cities


The Duluth Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating two young children who are likely with their noncustodial parent.

The Duluth News Tribune reports that police attempted to locate the children multiple times, but have been unable to find them.

Police identified the mother as 20-year-old Tameicia Morris, who is described as being 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds.

According to Northland's News Center, police say Morris took the children, 2-year-old Jameicia Chapman and 7-month-old Shaniya Chism, for a visit in violation of a court order, and then did not return them.

Police say Morris and her children may be either in Duluth or in St. Paul. Authorities urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of the children to call 911.

Information about both children has been entered into the National Crime Information Center database as missing children.
