A 40-year-old school bus driver was charged with DUI after "poor driving conduct" was reported to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, and a deputy smelled alcohol on his breath in the Hayfield area, roughly 90 miles south of the Twin Cities, KTTC reports. He had dropped off children at summer school before the arrest.

Robbinsdale school officials are investigating a gun found on a roadway that was handled by a seventh grade student. Around 8 a.m. Thursday, a school bus driver for the Robbinsdale School District noticed something on the side of the road and asked a middle school student to get off the bus and see what it was.

A pedestrian was sent to the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a school bus in St. Paul. The man in his 50s or 60s was struck while the bus was taking a left-hand turn from Western Ave. onto Aurora Ave. He was transported to Regions Hospital and is expected to survive.

Amidst accusations of an incident between an Albert Lea bus driver and two student passengers, the Albert Lea Bus Co. has fired the unidentified driver. A spokesman for the company says that although they feel no crime was committed, their driver failed to use good judgment.
