Duluth woman helped to hide body in a freezer

A Duluth woman is facing charges after she allegedly helped a friend hide the body of her boyfriend in a freezer in the western Twin Cities.

The Pioneer Press reports that Hennepin County prosecutors say 30-year-old Talisha Nakia Hunt helped her friend, Jetaun Helen Wheeler buy a freezer from Sears the day after Wheeler killed her boyfriend.

Wheeler is awaiting trial on a charge of second-degree murder, she is accused of beating her boyfriend 58-year-old Eddie Sole with a curtain road.

Hunt was arrested on Thursday as police searched her Duluth apartment. She now facing a charge of being an accomplice after the fact, and could face 20 years in prison if convicted.

The Associated Press reports that Hunt arrived by bus on Aug. 1 and was allegedly present when Wheeler beat Sole. The report says video from a Sears store shows the two women purchasing a freezer on Aug. 5, the same freezer where police later found Sole's body.

Hunt is in jail and expected to make her first court appearance on Monday.
