Minneapolis developer George Sherman plans to rebuild the distinctive six-story lighted tower that once stood outside Duluth's NorShor Theatre, the News Tribune reports.

It will be part of a $19 million restoration project of the historic theater.

The newspaper says the renovation of the NorShor Theatre is slated to start in August and taken about 14 months to complete.

The Northland NewsCenter says the community theater will feature 700 seats and be managed by the Duluth Playhouse community theater organization.
