Dylan returns to the Twin Cities in November

Bob Dylan will perform at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on Nov. 7, the Star Tribune reports. Ticket information has yet to be released.

The 71-year-old Minnesota native and his band were already scheduled to visit Rochester and Fargo for concerts next month.

On Tuesday, Dylan announced he's releasing his 35th studio album on Sept. 11. "Tempest" -- which features 10 new original Dylan songs -- coincides with the 50th anniversary of his first studio album.

President Barak Obama awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to the Minnesota music legend at the White House in May.

If his recent concert performances in Europe are any indication, then Bob Dylan will be playing mostly piano -- not guitar -- at his Aug. 21 show in Rochester. The 71-year-old Hibbing native surprised his devotees during his Neverending Tour stops in England and Germany last week by sitting at a grand piano most of the time.

At 71 years old, Dylan sounds better vocally than he did the last time he performed in the Twin Cities in 2008.
