Early morning fire at senior living center; residents evacuated


A fire prompted an evacuation of a senior living facility in Woodbury early Friday.

The Star Tribune reports it happened at Woodbury Senior Living, at Woodlane Drive and Lake Road.

According to multiple tweets, one person is dead and two are injured.

WCCO says the fire was out around 6 a.m., nearly two hours after the first call.

The Woodbury Senior Living website says the campus consists of three areas: the 75-apartment Woodbury Villa, the 64-apartment Woodbury Estates, and a 190-bed health care center. It's owned by the nonprofit Senior Care Communities, Inc.
