Law enforcement officers in western Wisconsin are seeking the public’s help to find a missing 78-year-old man.

WCCO-TV reports that the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office received a report Saturday that Ron (Ronnie) Sicard, a resident of a group home in Burnett County, had gone missing. The Burnett County Sheriff’s Office started a search for Sicard with the help of six area fire departments and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Authorities said they are not asking for volunteers in the search at this time.

The Spooner Advocate says that the man walks with a noticeable limp, has a cast on his right wrist and is suffering from dementia. The newspaper reports that dogs and horses have been brought in to join the search, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is searching by plane.

KARE 11 reports that Sicard is described as approximately 6'2" tall and weighs 220 pounds.

Police ask that anyone traveling in the area of Johnson Lake, Jackson, or Oakland Townships that may have had contact with Sicard to call the Burnett County Sheriff's Department at 715-349-2128.
