The family of the 92-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run accident has a message for the public, according to KSTP.
"Watch for motorcycles, that would be my dad's message," says Jim Kromschroeder.
Kromschroeder said his mom and dad traveled the country for decades on motorcyles.
A 26-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of hitting Roy Kromschroeder with her car, then leaving the scene of the accident.
That accident was reported at the intersection of Prosperity and Ivy avenues around 8 a.m. on Friday.
KSTP TV reports Autumn Mason of Maplewood was taken into custody on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation. It also has more about the victim here.
The StarTribune reports Kromschroeder was a lifelong Eastsider who'd been on his way to Maplewood Mall when he was struck. Witnesses covered him with a blanket and called 911 as they watched the driver stop briefly, then speed away.
Roy Kromschroeder was a World War II veteran. He will be buried Friday at Fort Snelling Cemetery with full military honors.
