Electricity restored in south Minneapolis after power-pole fire

About 5,600 Xcel Energy customers lost electricity after a power pole caught fire around 10 p.m. Saturday, the Pioneer Press reports. Crews restored power within about two hours for most customers. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

The Star Tribune says the outage was concentrated in an area between Interstate 35W, Hiawatha Avenue S., Interstate 94 and 42th Street.
