Exclusive chance to buy Victoria Beckham's Target line early ... for 200 Minnesotans

Minneapolis is one of just five locations hosting the exclusive, sneak-peak events.

A handful of Minnesotans will be given the chance to be part of an exclusive shopping event on Saturday evening.

Victoria Beckham's new Target collection launches Sunday morning, but some lucky Target RedCard holders are being invited to get a sneak peak at just five Target stores across the country the night before, the retailer told GoMN.

One of these events is being held at Target's Nicollet Mall store in downtown Minneapolis. The first 100 people to RSVP to the invite get their name on the list – and they're allowed to bring a guest.

At the event, shoppers are allowed to buy a maximum of six items to ensure there's enough inventory when the line goes on general sale the next day.

The invites have been sent to RedCard holders living "within a certain geographical distance" from the store who have recently shopped for women's or girls' apparel at Target.

It's the first time Target has ever done this, describing it as a "test" to see how its customers "respond to the special and exclusive experience."

Anticipation is building to the release of the women and children's line from the former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer, who held a celebrity launch party in Los Angeles this past weekend.

Target is hoping the new line replicates the success of the wildly successful Lilly Pulitzer line in 2015, which caused its website to crash due to the overwhelming demand on its launch day.

Prices for Beckham's line range from $6 to $70, with most items under $40. They will be offered in sizes XS-3X for women and NB-XL for girls, toddler and baby.

The collection will be on sale between April 9-30, or while supplies last.

The other exclusive launch events are being held at stores in New York, Los Angeles, Houston and Miami.
