A teenage girl who went missing in Fargo last week has been found and is back with her family.

Fargo Police announced Wednesday morning on its Facebook page that Ariana-Lei Poitra was "recovered" and that she has been returned to her family.

The 14-year-old was reported missing after being last seen on March 5. A police spokesman told BringMeTheNews that the teenager is safe and well.

A spokesman said: "She is safe and there is no reason to believe she was in danger during her absence from home."

Police had said that they didn't believe she was in "imminent danger" following her disappearance.

The reason for this is that she had stayed in contact with her family and friends through social media throughout her absence.

She was located by police in nearby Moorhead on Friday.
