Roxanne Helen Meyer is accused of stealing more than $16,000 dollars from an elderly woman in her care. Police began investigating after the woman, who suffers from dementia, faced eviction from her nursing home for unpaid rent. Meyer reportedly used the money for family expenses.

Man charged in alleged kidnapping of woman he met through dating website

A 31-year-old man faces charges of kidnapping, assault, terroristic threats and burglary after allegedly abducting a Spring Lake Park woman. The pair reportedly met on an online dating site and then met in person at the woman's apartment at 1 a.m. Dec. 20. The complaint alleges the man made unwelcome sexual advances, left the apartment, then returned in the morning and assaulted her.
