A 40-year-old father-of-three was shot dead after taking his phone out to record the aftermath of a minor collision in Rochester.

Ahmed Muafaq Abdulhu Al Naddf, 40, died after being shot in the chest, with his body found in the 2800 Charles Court NW, Rochester this past Monday.

Rochester Police Capt. John Sherwin revealed this week that Naddf arrived in the U.S. in 2014, after fleeing his native, war-torn Iraq. He is survived by his wife and three young children.

Two men are in custody, Sao Yim Jr., 24, the accused shooter who's been charged with second degree murder, and Eric T. Lee, 25, who allegedly took Naddf's cellphone after the shooting.

According to the criminal complaint, the four men emerged from an apartment building shortly after Yim's car had been struck at low speed by Naddf.

As they confronted the 40 year old, Yim showed him a handgun down his side in the hopes of frightening him home, with Naddf then taking out his cellphone "as if to record the four suspects confronting him."

Surveillance footage showed that two of the men then fled, with Yim and Lee staying. The pair appeared to be leaving the area as well, before Yim pulled out his gun and shot Naddf.

They initially left the area before going back and rifling through his pockets, taking his phone in the process.

The two men who fled the area have been arrested but have yet to be charged.
